    Event Details: Join the BC LGBTQ+ Alumni Boston Chapter at the Reilly Memorial Rink on Saturday, February 23rd at 2:00PM for some ice skating fun! Public skating is available free of charge and skate rental is available for $5. Skaters of all levels are welcome and please feel free to invite friends and/or significant others. 

    Optional post-meetup: 4:00PM at Cityside Bar for apps & drinks for anyone who'd like to join us after ice skating. 

    Location details: The Reilly Memorial Rink is situated in Cleveland Circle. It is accessible by the Green Line B, C, and D branches. There is on-site parking available. 

    Registration: This event is free to attend but we request that you please register. Non-BC guests are welcome. We welcome you to join us for all or part of this event.

    Accessibility: This location does not offer accessible skating.

    • God’s Love We Deliver SoHo (166 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10013-1207)

    Event Details: Please join the BC LGBTQ+ Alumni NYC Chapter for a day of service on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at God’s Love We Deliver (GLWD), from 10:00AM-1:00PM at their SoHo location (166 Avenue of Americas). 

    God’s Love We Deliver provides nutrition therapy and home delivers medically-tailored meals for people living with severe illness in the New York City metropolitan area. To learn further about GLWD, kindly click here:

    We are gathering a maximum of 15 volunteers to assist with kitchen prep, guided by God’s Love on-staff chefs. 

    Location details: God’s Love We Deliver SoHo (166 Avenue of the Americas, New York, NY 10013-1207)

    Registration: This event is free to attend but you must email Kelly (kellymariedalton [at] as soon as possible to obtain the link to sign up as a volunteer through GLWD's website (a requirement for every volunteer). 

    Additional information about our event can be found below:
    Dress Code: Clothing must completely cover shoulders, armpits, knees and toes. Long sleeves must be pushed above your elbows while working with food. All hair must be fully covered in the kitchen. We provide hairnets, however hats may be worn providing all hair is covered, including ponytails and bangs. No bracelets, watches or dangling earrings may be worn. Cell phone use is not permitted while working in the kitchen.

    Cancellation Policy: We require a minimum of a (one) weeks’ notice if you need to cancel or cannot provide the minimum amount of volunteers.

    Age Requirement: Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age

    Feeling sick? To ensure the safety of our clients, we ask that anyone who is ill does not work in the kitchen. With advance notice, we can occasionally find an office project for those not feeling well.

    We are very much looking forward to this event, volunteering together and meeting new faces! All are welcome! Keep in mind that spots are limited, so be sure to RSVP sooner than later.
